Lenten Weekend Retreat at Mount Saviour Monastery Cancelled due to the CDC Directive to Cancel Gatherings

We have left the description of our Lenten retreat program because it was a wonderful weekend retreat plan and we hope to resurrect this retreat at a future time

Fr. Michael had intended to lead a retreat at Mount Saviour Monastery on the weekend of Friday, March 13th through Sunday, March 15th. The retreat would utilize materials created by the Episcopal Church titled Life Transformed – The Way of Love in Lent.

The journey through Lent into Easter is a journey with Jesus and his Way of Love into the experience of transformed life. During this retreat it was intended to provide opportunity to reflect anew on the loving actions of God as recounted in the Easter Vigil readings.

The purpose of the weekend would be to walk together through the depths of salvation history into the fullness of redemption.

The anticpated schedule maximized the 3-day weekend, while not overtaxing our participants: Friday, 9:00 AM, drive to the monastery in Elmira, NY, spend the weekend in spiritual journey, and leave after the Eucharist service on Sunday.

Between the rhythm of Benedictine offices/services and our sharing together, we would experience together and individually a transformative weekend.
